Covid-19 Bodywork Practice Updates

Updated February 3rd, 2021 See Colorado's guidelines here
As a healthcare worker, I am committed to keeping you as safe and healthy as possible. The CO Dept of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) has put out the following new practices and precautions to do so. Over the past 11 years of practicing massage, well before Covid, I've followed stringent cleaning & sanitization practices; which are now fortified.

Cancellation Policy: As usual, cancellations made within 24 hours of a session start time will be charged the full session fee. It is extremely difficult to fill a cancelled time slot, and causes financial strain.

  • COVID & illness exception: Clients (and myself) have the right to cancel and reschedule a session at any time due to illness. Health-related cancellations will not be charged the cancellation fee

  • If you come to your appointment with any symptoms of illness, the session will be cancelled & rescheduled.

Thank you for understanding that as a sole proprietor every minute counts.

Let's each do our best to take care of ourselves and each other!

Before the session

  • Fill out the required questionnaire in the confirmation email before each session. See it here

  • No waiting room - Please wait outside or in your car, I'll alert you when the office is ready

  • Face masks are required at all times for clients and myself

  • Wash hands or use sanitizer on arrival (provided)

  • Temperatures will be taken before each session

During the session

  • Masks must be worn at all times

    • Bodywork techniques, positioning, and draping will be adjusted so you

can comfortably wear the mask on the table.

  • Intake will happen as per usual

  • Gloves are not required, but I am happy to wear them if you request.

  • Essential oils may still be used, but the aromatic effect may be less because of the masks

After the session

  • As is always protocol, I meticulously wash hands, forearms, and elbows

  • The post-session treatment plan will happen as per usual.

  • High-touch surfaces disinfected between sessions

    • tabletops, chairs, doorknobs, light switches, face cradle, bolster, and all massage equipment.

  • Laundry is washed at the end of every day

    • Sheets and blankets are immediately replaced after each session (this is always standard)

I greatly look look forward to "touching base" and sharing the healing power of touch during these stressful times.

-Eli

And now for something completely different....
