Covid-19 Bodywork Practice Updates

Updated September 28th, 2020
 See Colorado's guidelines here
As a healthcare worker, I am committed to keeping you as safe and healthy as possible. The CO Dept of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) has put out the following new practices and precautions to do so. Over the past 11 years of practicing massage, well before Covid, I've followed stringent cleaning & sanitization practices; which are now fortified.

Cancellation Policy: As usual, cancellations made within 24 hours of a session start time will be charged 50% of the session fee. It is extremely difficult to fill a cancelled time slot, and causes financial strain.

  • COVID & illness exception: Clients (and myself) have the right to cancel and re-schedule a session at any time due to illness. Health-related cancellations will not be charged the cancellation fee

  • If you come to your appointment with any symptoms of illness, the session will be cancelled & rescheduled.

Thank you for understanding that as a sole proprietor every minute counts,

let's each do our best to take care of ourselves and each other!

Before the session

  • No waiting room - Please wait outside or in your car. I will text you when the office is open.

  • Face masks are required and must be worn at all times by clients and therapists

  • Wash your hands or use sanitizer when your arrive in the office (provided)

  • Temperature readings, with an infrared thermometer, will be taken before each session.

  • Pre-payment using Venmo is very much appreciated: @eeliza (many thanks!)

During the session

  • Masks must be worn at all times

    • Bodywork techniques, positioning, and draping will be adjusted so you

can comfortably wear the mask on the table.

  • Intake will happen as per usual

  • Gloves are not required, but I am happy to wear them if you request.

  • Essential oils may still be used, but the aromatic effect may be less because of the masks

After the session

  • As is always protocol, I meticulously wash hands, forearms, and elbows immediately after leaving the room.

  • The post-session check-in & treatment plan will happen as per usual.

  • I disinfect high-touch surfaces between each session

    • tabletops, chairs, doorknobs, light switches, face cradle, bolster, and all massage equipment.

  • I wash laundry thoroughly.

    • Sheets and blankets are immediately replaced after each session (this is always standard)

    • Laundry is washed at the end of every day

I greatly look look forward to "touching base" and sharing the healing power of touch during these stressful times.

-Eli
